What equipment do I need to purchase for my player?  What does the league provide?

The only required item parents need to purchase for your player is a glove.  Although not required, many players also have their own baseball cleats (rubber only), helmet, and bat, but each team is provided with several team helmets, bats, and catcher's equipment.  Bats must be USABaseball certified.

We also STRONGLY recommend purchasing shirts including a protective pad covering sternum, heart and chest area to shield against impacts from balls, pitches, and hard hits.  Please visit our partner sponsors Darrow’s Sporting Edge in Whitehouse Station or Sneakers Plus in Flemington for help with all your sporting goods needs including sizing.

Mention you are with FRB and they may offer a discount.

What about Uniforms?

In the Spring, the league will provide each player with a team shirt and hat along with a pair of gray baseball pants and team colored socks. In the fall, the league provides team shirts and hats only.

When and where are games/practices played?

In past years, games in the spring were typically played at the FRB Complex located at 45 William St. in Flemington or at Lenape Park located at 114 Sergeantsville Rd, Flemington, NJ 08822 according to the following schedule

I am interested in coaching, what do I need to do?

FRB wouldn't exist without our amazing volunteer coaches and the time and effort they give to our children.  Interested coaches can volunteer by indicating their interest during the registration process for their player.  To learn more about the requirements needed to coach, please see our Coaches Information page.

My child wants to play competitive travel baseball -- does FRB offer a travel option?

FRB offers both Rec and Travel baseball.  Travel players must also play Spring Rec baseball at FRB.  Details on our Travel Program, including tryout dates, can be found here.

Is FRB affiliated with a national youth baseball organization?

FRB is a chartered member of Cal Ripken / Babe Ruth Baseball.  Our charter includes the towns of Raritan Township, Flemington Boro, Ringoes, East Amwell, West Amwell, Lambertville, Stockton and Delaware Township.
