2021 Opening Day Information

FRB 2021 Opening Day is Almost Here!

SATURDAY APRIL 17, 2021

Baseball in Flemington is back for its 68th season and what better way to kick it off than with FRB Opening Day!  While this year’s Opening Day will still look a bit different from year’s past to ensure a safe event, we’ll take what we can get after missing out entirely in 2020.  The point is to provide a fun and memorable opening day experience for all of the kids while balancing the safety and well-being of our players, coaches, families, and the broader Flemington community.

All FRB Spring Rec teams are scheduled to play games on Opening Day.  As shown in the schedule below, each Division has been assigned a specific 2.5 hour time slot during the day which will begin with a ceremony on Field 1 introducing the teams in front of parents and supporters who are encouraged to spread out around Field 1.  After the playing of the National Anthem and some remarks, teams will disperse to their assigned fields for games.  After games are complete, teams and supporters are encouraged to clear the facility to make room for the following Division.

Of course, FRB continues to stress the importance of maintaining social distancing and wearing masks, especially when distancing is not possible. Please plan to arrive no more than 10 minutes prior to your ceremony to allow the prior division attendees to clear the facility.  For more information, please see FRB’s current COVID protocols which can be found here. Let’s do our best to protect one another so that this season doesn’t end before it begins.
